COMPANY HISTORY

Started at Lisbon on 1986 working with mobile communications ( terrestrial, aerial and marine ) we have moved to Vilamoura on 1990 as Zagalo Electricidade & Baterias to exclusively work with pleasure yachting. Since then we have tried to develop a quality service on designing, installing and maintaining electric and electronic systems on board.

Being supported since 1992 by one off the best researching companies on 12 Volts DC electric systems in the world, Ample Power Company in Seattle USA ( responsible for the very first temperature sensed charging systems (1987) ), and representing another leading company on charging systems, Driftgate 2000 in the UK we have tried to design and supply the most suitable systems for pleasure yachting.

By making part of several crews on some long sails ( Aristocrat, Swan 57” 1989/90 ; Kialoa II, Yacht Dinamics 76” 1992/93 ; Moblue, Kiwi 84” 1995, and being regular crew on S. Pantaleão, a Moody 425 (1990/92), and BBM, a Beneteau First 45F5 (1999/2010) we have acquired the know how wish allow us today to make better choices on designing, supplying and maintaining the systems with more security, efficiency and reliability.

In 1995 we returned to Lisbon and became Zagalo Yacht Consulting, wish remains up to now with a new shop at Cascais Marina since June 2009.
